UPD is South Africa’s leading full-line wholesaler and supplies pharmacies, hospitals, dispensing doctors, health services and affiliated healthcare channels.

UPD is also the license holder of the Link pharmacy brand which has independent, owner-managed pharmacy stores in South Africa and neighbouring African territories.

The UPD Training Academy offers credit bearing training programs in developing supply chain and organizational capabilities.

UPD has a healthcare industry pedigree spanning over 40 years.

Our seven distribution centres are strategically placed nationally, warehousing and selling over 15 000 pharmaceutical, surgical and front shop items.

Excluding Lea Glen's automated picking machines, we manage over 55 000 active pallet positions.

UPD travels 21 500 km's each day, averaging no less than 17 drops per delivery. UPD currently employs 1500 full and part time employees.
