29 Nov We hear you!
Did you know that South African sign language is used by about two million people?
We are proud to report that UPD added five more people to that list! In an effort to improve engagement between hearing and deaf people within our business, five of UPD’s Lea Glen employees attended the South African Sign Language (SASL) Beginner’s Module offered by the Wits Language School on Saturdays.
Feedback from the course facilitator illustrates the effort that our team put into the course.
Xolani: “Vocabulary used accurately and matches the requirements of the task.”
Nokulunga: “Shown remarkable skill and aptitude”
Lerato: “Your language choices relating to use of vocabulary are thoughtful”
Isabel: “You provide specific introductions and conclusions, with sequenced material within the body.”
Silindile: “Your language choices relating to use of vocabulary are thoughtful”
All five UPD delegates successfully completed the course!
From all of us at UPD, congratulations to Xolani Mdletshe, Nokulunga Ndamase, Lerato Malete, Isabel Sambo and Silindile Mazibuko.
