UPD HR in conjunction with Vikash Singh, our Managing Director, presented the following SETA Certifications to employees. UPD partnered with providers Academy, Owl Training and PMI.
A total of 66 employees graduated during the UPD certification graducation ceremony held at Lea Glen. The certification was hosted by the UPD Executive team on 23 August and 14 November 2017.
NQF 2 National Certificate: Wholesale and Retail Distribution SAQA ID (49280)
This qualification encompasses both the current and future needs of the Wholesale and Retail sectors, flowing from discussion with wholesalers, distribution centres and mail order houses. Having this qualification certainly opens opportunities for employees as there are many job roles within these sectors.
NQF 3 National Certificate: Wholesale and Retail Operations SAQA ID (63409)
This qualification links NQF Level 2 National Certificate: Wholesale and Retail Operations qualification and the FET Certificate: Generic Management, closing the learning gap between Wholesale and Retail. While the qualifying learners will experience personal growth and development, workplace succession planning is also a healthy consequence of UPD’s commitment to developing employees.
Learners can expect to learn: ordering of stock; receiving; dispatching; stock control; cash control; sales and marketing; displaying; responsible credit promotion; perishable foods preparation; sales and display; and the running of an informal small business.
Successful learners will be in a very good position to promote a positive customer experience and importantly, contribute towards their business unit’s objectives.
NQF 3 National Certificate: Business Administration Service SAQA ID (80566)
This qualification is for any individual who is, or wishes to be, involved in the Administration function of any organisation or business in any sector or field, including non-commercial organisations (e.g. clubs, charitable organisations).
It contains all the competencies, skills and values needed by a learner to access the National Certificate in Business Administration Services at NQF Level 4.
The core component contains competencies such as:
Information handling; communications; enterprise/customer service; technology; organisation skills; self-development; teamwork; and business policies and procedures.
The elective component allows the learner to gain specialist knowledge, skills and insight in the areas of Reception, Executive Administration, Financial Services and Banking, Legal Administration and Human Resources.
